Québec Youth and Privacy Post-Law 25

Law 25–previously Bill 64–seeks to modernise Quebec’s privacy laws. Among other things, it tightens the restrictions on the handling of personal information and grants individuals new robust privacy rights. While the bill passed almost two years ago, most of its provisions are only coming into force this September. With this in mind, Y4Y is conducting three focus groups during the week(s) of June 26th and July 3rd. We hope to gain insight into how youth (ages 16-30) perceive Law 25 and privacy-related issues more generally.
