English-Speaking Youth
Employment Experiences
in Québec
Throughout 2024-25, Y4Y conducted youth consultations across the province in partnership with the Provincial Employment Round Table (PERT) as part of their study on “English-Speaking Youth Employment Experiences in Québec”.
During these consultations, we heard directly from youth aged 15-34 about their experiences and issues along their employment journeys. An online survey was also distributed, and gathered their perspectives and experiences as linguistic minority youth in Québec’s labour market.
The results of this project have been shared in a collaborative research report by Y4Y and PERT, published in August 2026. The report highlights the employment opportunities and challenges among English-speaking youth with the goal of providing policymakers, community organizations and youth themselves with an updated profile of English-speaking youth in the labour market, including their needs for employment and employability support.
The report, titled “Labour Market Experiences of Québec’s English-speaking Youth: Insights from Data and Youth Voices”, is available here.
